Our excursion to the foot of Psiloritis mountain at an altitude of 1200m, at a private area with a small country church of Agios Demetrios.
Enjoy this peaceful location and see the highest mountain peak in Crete: Psiloritis. Up on the mountain there is a big water cistern (200m3) which was constructed 150 years ago. Join the traditional lamb roasting under the cooling shadow of a 300-year-old tree. Visit the small stone-made shepherd shelters and collect rare herbs that grow only in this area.
